I had just got out of the shower when I heard my doorbell chime. When I checked my phone, I saw a delivery driver standing and waiting, cap pulled down to shade their eyes.
“Just coming,” I spoke into the microphone and pulled my satin robe around my shoulders. I fastened the sash as I hurried down the stairs.
“I need a signature for this,” the driver eyed me lazily, then his gaze caught hungrily on the planes of my soft white skin visible at the neck of the robe and my smooth bare legs beneath the hemline. It was nice to be appreciated, but all my grooming was not for the likes of him.
I took the gadget he held out to me and used my finger to sign electronically for the parcel. What could it be? I hadn’t ordered anything. I shut the door and leaned against it as I ripped open the seal to reveal a beautiful box embossed with a black lace border. Colour me intrigued.
Hurrying back to my bedroom, I laid the box on the bed and lifted off the lid, revealing pristine sheets of creamy tissue paper. My heart began to thud in my chest, and my excitement mounted higher as I parted the tissue to reveal an item of the most gorgeous lingerie I’ve ever beheld: A cream satin and lace corset with suspenders attached. I scooped it out of the box and ran to the mirror, pressing it against my body and squealed.
I already knew my kind benefactor before I heard the text alert.
